Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?
Yes and No. You can not use HTML tags in any field except the body of the message. You can include images and links in your posts by pointing to their location in the appropriate Link URL and Image URL fields.
Example:
Optional Link URL: http://www.hollidaysburg.com
Link Title: Hollidaysburg DOT Com
Optional Image URL: http://www.hollidaysburg.com/hdc1.gif
Will result in this link and image being including in your post: (The
image will appear at the top of your post, and the link will appear at
the bottom)
Can I include images in my posts?
Yes and No. An image already available on the internet can be included in your posts as in the example in the previous question. You can not upload image files onto our server to be included in your posts, and you can only include a single image in each post. So if you want to include photos of your grandchildren at Chimney Rocks, these images must be already posted somewhere on the internet. Linking to these image files on your computers hard drive will only result in an empty link.
Example:
I just got my vacation pictures on disk, and now I want to share them with
everybody.
Optional Image URL: C:\Images\vacation.gif
results in:
However, uploading your images onto a server and pointing to that image
Optional Image URL: http://www.myinternetprovider.com/~myaccount/vacation.gif
results in:
Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?
Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. If you post a follow-up to a follow-up, even more colons will appear to indicate the quoting of multiple message.
Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.
