it presently? I would so much like to come back and visit there. Many times I have thought about it. By any chance, could you do me a favor. Is there any way that you could take some pictures of "THE HALL" from its different sides and could you scan them and send me them. I would so much be indebted to you. Like I said, I spent many happy days there. Let me know, if you would like to hear more stories. I would be happy to tell you everything I can remember.

I attended Highland Hall from 58-59 to 59-60. My brother, David, preceded me and was close to ordination when he left. Indeed, you can't spend two years in a place like that and not have memories. For many years I thought of going back to see it again, but it didn't happen until yesterday (June 6). My brother was visiting from out of town and wanted to make a side trip. Since both of us hadn't been there since the early 60's, that was the choice. Unfortunately, it rained all day, but we were determined to get some pictures. The first thing that I must tell you is that there are no current tenants and it appears that the former occupants did not take good care of things. I was shocked at how run-down it looked. In fact, it looked like it was falling apart and on the verge of being condemned. And, I would think, with it's history it should qualify as an historic landmark.
I took photos of the front of the building and the side porch, including the statue to the one side of the playing field. Also attempted to take a time exposure looking into the front door from the main porch. What I could see of the interior appeared to be in a sorry state. I kept thinking of the wreck of the Titanic. Anyway, I won't ramble on at this point. If you read this, Mr. Kenny, let me know and we can discuss more details.
