Corney Luzardi was indeed the "Mayor of Allegheny Street."  Mr Luzardi was a long time merchant along Allegheny Street where he operated a soda fountain and store.  Take it from us, Corney could make a great Cherry Coke from fountain syrup long before Coca-Cola decided to make a product out of it.
